How the School Day is Structured

In the Classroom, eagerly listening to the Chief Instructor!
The Programme for the day will run as follows
Introduction, tea and biscuits
Safety procedures
Classroom Instruction
Course walked under supervision
Split into small groups
Individual runs
Lunch
Video and verbal assessment
Further runs
Instructor demonstration runs
Final assessment
Presentation of Certificates
An Award for the highest points scorer (see below)

Pupils receiving advice on the correct lines to take during the course walk
The 2009 fee for a course (incl Vat) is £155.00 including morning coffee, lunch and afternoon tea.
One MSA Non Race National B Competition Licence upgrade-signature is available for a fee (incl Vat) of £50.00
To obtain the signature, a short written test must be taken and passed during the course.
(Only applicable if you do not have a signature from another school)
Guest Lunches can be purchased at £15.00 each (incl Vat).

Cars must be silenced to road legal limits and be on road legal tyres
Cars must have at least two seats, with two effective front seat belts
Tax discs and MoT certificates (if required) will be checked. NO TAX, NO MoT, NO RUN
All pupils must hold a full driving licence (not a provisional)
Please make sure your clothing covers your arms and legs
Bring warm clothing and waterproofs
The track is challenging; every type of corner, plus quick uphill and downhill sections
Fully qualified instruction team
Personal in-car instruction from the qualified instructors
Groups of no more more than six pupils per instructor
Classroom tuition and video coverage - video's may be purchased from MAD Video
Gift Vouchers available - an ideal birthday or Christmas present
No competition experience or competition licence necessary.
You do not have to be a member of a Motor Club
One car may be entered by two drivers, each to complete a separate application form
Drive your own car; our courses are only for road-legal cars which must have
at least two seats and two working seat belts
Full safety cover - the track is marshalled
Club room, changing rooms and toilets
Guests are welcome, but excluded from the Introduction and Instruction
Guest meals are available - see the Costs section above
No timing of runs is allowed
Following the recent guide-line issued by the Association of Sprint and Hillclimb Schools
we regret that we are unable to accept pupils under the age of 18 years

All pupils are assessed as they pass through the School, and the 2009 pupil gaining the highest marks will be awarded 1 free entry at Harewood in 2010 + a full season spectator pass for 2 people to all Harewood events in 2010.
Should a Harewood School Course be cancelled, for whatever reason, before the advertised date, you will be offered a place on an alternative Course.
If you are unable to attend a Course for which you have paid, and notice in writing has been received at least fourteen days prior to the Course date, an alternative date will be offered.
If you are unable to attend a Course for which you have paid, and notice is received within the fourteen days prior to the Course date, we regret that we may not be able to offer an alternative date.
